March is National Sauce Month, which you might not have heard of, but it’s a big deal around these parts. We started off as a syrup company back in 1925, while those flavored syrups will always be at the core of Torani, we love our sauces. We like to think of them as a luscious addition to your drinks and desserts that will bring a smile to your face.

We’ve been tinkering in our kitchens to come up with special ways to celebrate our already-special sauces, and here are a few recipes that we hope will make their way into your recipe books and homes:

Chocolate Covered Strawberry Mocha

Chocolate covered strawberries are usually a decadent treat reserved for romantic dinners and events, but that doesn’t meant you have to wait for a holiday to savor this classic flavor combination. The interplay between the slightly tart Strawberry Syrup and the flavors of our Puremade Dark Chocolate Sauce adds an elegant note to your drink and proves you don’t need a special anniversary to treat yourself, or your beloved.

Double Hazelnut Affogato

Affogato is a dessert that hails from Italy, where strong, hot espresso is poured over ice cream, creating an unforgettable flavor and texture experience. In this recipe, we added both HAzlenut Syrup and our Puremade Chocolate Hazelnut Sauce to the party - chocolate and coffee is a classic combination, made even more delicious with hazelnut added to the mix. This delicious dessert offers the perfect balance between the sweetness of the chocolate, the earthiness of the hazelnut and the slight darkness of the coffee. We think you’ll fall in love like we did.

Puremade Caramel Apple Latte

There’s nothing more nostalgic and heartwarming than caramel apples, a staple of fall harvests and Halloween carnivals, but let’s be honest: making caramel apples at home is a bit of a chore. This drink, however, makes enjoying this classic flavor combination incredibly easy. Take a break in the middle of the day and sit back, savoring the flavor of the crisp and tart apples melding with creamy caramel in your coffee. It’s delicious nostalgia that is wonderful to indulge in.

1 cup (8 oz) milk

1/2 cup (4 oz) strong brewed coffee or 2 shots of espresso

The Black & White Frappe

In many delis in New York’s Manhattan, you’ll find the iconic Black and White Cookie. While we can’t pretend this drink will give you the full texture of that cookie experience, it will give you the right flavor - a beautiful mix of chocolate and vanilla. The espresso adds an additional pop to the drink that will leave you smiling for the rest of the day. At least that’s what happened to us.

Caramelized Banana Milkshake

We decided to try some fun milk shake recipes because, well, who doesn’t love a good milkshake? This one was one of our favorites. Banana and caramel compliment each other in a way we’d forgotten since we last had a banana split (way too long ago, honestly), and the classic flavor combo makes this milkshake a fun sip for any moment when we want a delectable treat.

Dark Chocolate Malt Martini

Blending together a sophisticated martini, with chocolate malt was an idea we had to try out. When we tasted this, we knew we had a drink that will bring a smile to your lips, and a rush of deliciousness to your being. Excellent to make in large quantities for a party, or on its own for yourself, we think you’ll want to add this to your cocktail rotation.
