5 Easy Mocktails Anyone Will Enjoy
We’ve been hearing a lot of hype around the "Sober Evolution,” as some put it. Living sober-ish is hardly a new concept, but its been embraced by many across the U.S. Some are saying goodbye to binge-drinking and declaring they’re living life #SoberAF.
What’s our take? Mocktails are darn delicious and whether or not you’re sober-curious, we think you should sip away without reservation. We sat down with our head of Insights and Trends, Andrea Ramirez, to find out more about what mocktails she’s been tinkering with lately.
Here are her 5 favorite recipes:
Batch yields 12 - 1 cup servings
1 cup Torani Ruby Red Grapefruit Syrup
1 cup orange juice
1 cup pineapple juice
2 quarts pressure-cooked hibiscus tea concentrate (recipe below)
2 oranges, pith removed, sliced into wheels
1 lemon, sliced
1/2 cup strawberries, hulled and sliced
In a 1 gallon pitcher, coming all ingredients and fill the remainder with ice. Serve over ice in tall glasses, distributing the fruit evenly among the glasses.
2. Balsamic Strawberry Shrub
2 Tbsp. Torani Puremade Strawberry Syrup
1 cup sparkling water or club soda
1 tsp. balsamic vinegar
1 basil sprig
Fill a tall glass 3/4 full with ice. In order, add sparkling water, balsamic vinegar and Torani Puremade Syrup. Stir gently. Slap a basil sprig and add to the glass.
3. Candied Lemon Drop
2 Tbsp. Torani Vanilla Syrup
1/4 cup + 2 Tbsp. sparkling water or club soda
1/4 cup pineapple juice
2 Tbsp. fresh lemon juice
Sugar for coating rim
Moisten the rim of a coupe (or martini) glass with a lemon wedge and dip into sugar. Set aside. Fill a mixing glass with ice. Add Torani, sparkling water, pineapple juice and lemon juice and stir well. Strain into your prepared glass.
4. Mindful Marvel
2 1/2 Tbsp. Torani Almond (Orgeat) Syrup
2 Tbsp. Torani Strawberry Syrup
1 Tbsp. fresh lime juice
3-1/2 oz. sweet & sour mix
In a blender pitcher, combine all ingredients and blend until smooth.
5. Cool Clarity
8 mint leaves
1 Tbsp. Torani Puremade Green Apple Syrup
8 oz. brewed green tea, chilled
Combine ingredients in a blender pitcher with no ice. Blend on medium for 10 seconds until foamy, and the mint is chopped and incorporated. Pour into a cup over ice. Garnish with a mint sprig if desired.
