This year has not been easy and many of our friends and family in the foodservice industry have faced huge challenges.

But here at Torani, we are rooting for you, and for a brighter future. This year’s Winter Pourcast was created with inspiration in mind. The cheer of the holiday season is an opportunity to try new things and bring much needed delight to your customers with creative LTOs.

Traditional Hot


The stress and chaos of 2020 has led people to long for anything that reminds them of the “good old days”. For holiday LTOs, this means that sticking with the classics might be just what your customers need.

Peppermint Mocha
1 oz. Torani Puremade White Chocolate Sauce
½ oz. Torani Puremade Peppermint Syrup
2 shots espresso
8 oz. steamed milk
Garnish with whipped cream, chocolate shavings or crushed candy canes

Italian Eggnog Mocha
1 oz. Torani Puremade Dark Chocolate Sauce
½ Torani Italian Eggnog Syrup
2 shots espresso
8 oz. steamed milk

“You Can’t Catch Me” Gingerbread Latte
1 oz. Torani Gingerbread Syrup
2 shots espresso
8 oz. steamed milk
Garnish with gingerbread cookie crumbles

Caramel Brulee Latte
½ oz. Torani Caramel Syrup
½ oz. Torani French Vanilla Syrup
2 shots espresso
8 oz. steamed milk
Top with whipped cream, a caramel drizzle, and garnish with raw sugar for texture.


Cold Interpretation


While traditional hot holiday beverages will always be a staple, it’s important to remember that cold format coffee are popular even in the winter months.

  • The percentage of consumers buying iced coee in the non-summer months increased from 10% in 2013 to 13% in 2017.*
  • With innovative applications, like nitro cold brew, becoming part of the mainstream means there are even more ways to offer unique festive drinks this holiday season.

Add a flavored cold foam "snowbank"


Cold foam is a fun addition anytime of the year, but in winter it takes on a whole other life due to its snow-like appearance.


 

Just follow these easy steps:

 

Let it Snow Cold Brew
½ oz. Torani Brown Sugar Cinnamon Syrup
½ oz. Torani Apple Syrup
8 oz. cold brew
Ice
Cold Foam:
¾ oz. Torani Brown Sugar Cinnamon Syrup
4 oz. nonfat milk
Top it off with a dash of cinnamon

 

Mr. Grinch Matcha
1 oz. Torani Peppermint Syrup
½ oz. Maya Tea Co.’s Chinese Matcha Powder
8 oz. milk
Ice
Cold Foam:
¾ oz. Torani Peppermint Syrup
4 oz. nonfat milk
Garnish with crushed candy canes

 

White Christmas Iced Mocha
1 oz. Torani Puremade White Chocolate Sauce
½ oz. Torani Puremade Peppermint Syrup
2 shots espresso, chilled
6 oz. milk
Ice
Cold Foam:
¾ oz. Torani Puremade Peppermint Syrup
4 oz. nonfat milk
Garnish with crushed candy canes

 

Sugar and Spice Iced Latte
½ oz. Torani Shortbread Syrup
½ oz. Torani Brown Sugar Cinnamon Syrup
6 oz. milk
2 shots espresso, chilled
Ice
Cold Foam:
¾ oz. Torani Brown Sugar Cinnamon Syrup
4 oz. nonfat milk
Top it off with a dash of cinnamon or cookie crumbles


 

Add in some eye candy!


Create visual appeal by incorporating garnishes and inclusions.

Candy Cane Winter Wonderland
¾ oz. Torani Puremade White Chocolate Sauce
½ oz. Torani Peppermint Syrup
¼ oz. Torani Vanilla Syrup
2 shots espresso
8 oz. steamed milk
Garnish with whipped cream, crushed candy cane and mini marshmallows.
Fill a plastic bag w/ 1-2 mini candy canes. Crush the candy by safely pounding with a rolling pin. Rim half of your mug w/ Torani White Chocolate Sauce & roll in a plate filled with the crushed candy. Set aside. Steam milk, Torani Sauce and Syrup together. Pour over espresso shots. Serve in candy cane rimmed mug. Garnish with whipped cream and mini marshmallows.

½ oz. Torani Puremade Zero Sugar Caramel Syrup
½ oz. Torani Puremade Zero Sugar Vanilla Syrup
8 oz. nonfat milk
2 shots espresso, chilled
Ice

Mocktails:


Sans-gria Iced Tea
¼ oz. Torani Ruby Red Grapefruit Syrup
¼ oz. Torani Strawberry Syrup
8 oz. hibiscus tea, chilled
Ice
Splash of orange juice

Fresh Mint Limeade
1 oz. Torani Lime Syrup
8 oz. lemonade
Fresh mint
Ice
Muddle mint in the syrup, add ice and lemonade on top.

Mojito Mint Sparkling Lemonade
1 oz. Torani Mojito Mint Syrup
6 oz. lemonade
2 oz. sparkling water
Fresh mint
Ice
Muddle mint in the syrup, add ice, lemonade and sparkling water on top.


 

Function is Famous


The health concerns of 2020 have caused many people to try and incorporate more health-focused and immunity-boosting elements in their diet. Mainstream brands, like Starbucks, Caribou, and Dunkin’ Donuts, have even added functional beverages to their menus.

  • Turmeric has anti-inflammatory properties and is a powerful antioxidant.
  • Matcha is high in antioxidants and beneficial plant compounds. Some studies claim it can aid in weight loss and even decrease the risk of heart disease.
  • Green tea has been said to help promote weight loss and could even play a part in fighting against cardiovascular disease.

1 oz. Torani Ginger Lemongrass Syrup
½ oz. Maya Tea Co.’s Chinese Matcha Powder
12 oz. steamed oat milk

Nitro Parfait
1 oz. Torani Puremade Peach Syrup
1 oz. freshly brewed Maya Tea Co. Young Hyson Green Tea (made into a concentrate)
8 oz. sparkling water
Option to add a strawberry powder rim (wet the rim then dip it into crushed freeze-dried strawberries).

Tropical Pome Teajito
1 ½ oz. Torani Puremade Coconut Syrup
8 oz. prepared Maya Tea Co.’s Simply Steeped Pomegranate Mojito Green Tea
Ice
Garnish with mint leaves and fresh lime wedge

Coconut Turmeric Tea
1 oz. Torani Puremade Coconut Syrup
½ tsp ground turmeric
1 oz. freshly brewed Maya Tea Co. Young Hyson Green Tea (made into a concentrate)
8 oz. sparkling water
½ oz. honey or agave to sweeten
Ice
Option to add a dash of cinnamon
