One of the great things about Torani Syrups is that there are many different uses for them, and you can create as many different amazing drinking experiences as there are flavors. A fantastic way to make drinks using Torani is to create your own classic soda fountain drinks.

Classic soda fountain drinks are the originals that started a beverage revolution. They were very different than the soda cans we see today. Go back to that time, where soda jerks would mix and match flavors. We have some wonderfully retro ideas for a delicious time, using our naturally flavored syrups. Make them at home, in your very own kitchen!

Egg Cream

The quintessential classic soda fountain drink is an Egg Cream. Don’t be put off by the name – there are neither eggs nor cream in it, but an old New York slang term.

You can easily create this timeless classic using Torani:

  • 1 Tbsp (1/2 oz) Torani Chocolate Milano Syrup
  • 2 Tbsp (1 oz) Torani Dark Chocolate Sauce
  • 1/3 cup (2 ½ oz) whole milk
  • ¾ cup (6 oz) seltzer or sparkling water

Instructions:

In a chilled tall glass, pour the Torani and milk, stirring vigorously. Add sparkling water slowly, so the foam at the top doesn’t spill over. Enjoy!

Lime Rickey

The Lime Rickey is a drink that was a popular mocktail during Prohibition, but fell out of favor once alcohol was legal again. The Lime Rickey enjoyed resurgence in the early 1990s and is now rightfully recognized as a fixture of Classic Soda Fountains.

Ingredients:

  • 4 Tbsp (2 oz) Torani Lime Syrup
  • 3 dashes Angostura bitters
  • 1 cup (8 oz) club soda

Instructions:

In a tall glass, pour the Torani and bitters. Top with the club soda and garnish with lime peel. Enjoy!

Handcrafted Brown Cow
