Salted Caramel Whoopie Pie

ingredients:
  • 1/2 c Torani Salted Caramel Syrup
  • 1 bag Sugar Cookie Cookie Mix (like Betty Crocker)
  • 1/4 c all purpose flour
  • 1/2 c vegetable oil
  • 1 egg
  • Filling:
  • 1/2 c Torani Salted Caramel Syrup
  • 2 - 8oz pkg cream cheese, room temperature
Instructions:

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Line cookie sheet with parchment paper or spray with baking spray. Combine sugar cookie mix, flour, vegetable oil, egg and 1/2 cup Torani. Whisk well until fully combined and refrigerate for 15 minutes. Using a teaspoon (or small ice cream scooper) drop batter at least 1” apart on the cookie sheet. Bake for 10-12 minutes until just golden. Allow the cookies to cool completely. Filling: beat cream cheese and 1/2 cup Torani with a mixer until fluffy and combined. Makes approximately 3 cups filling. Extra filling can be stored for up to 1 week in the refrigerator. Place 1-2 tsp filling on the flat side of a cookie and sandwich with another cookie.
