Spring has a way of waking everything up. Longer days, fresh air, and that first hint of bloom all around us. It’s the perfect time to explore flavors that feel just as vibrant, fresh, and full of life.
From delicate florals to refreshing botanicals, this season is all about sipping something lighter, brighter, and a little unexpected in the best way.
What are floral and botanical flavors?
Floral and botanical flavors are inspired by ingredients found in nature, like flowers, herbs, and plants. Think lavender, rose, hibiscus, and even pine! These flavors bring soft aromatics and a fresh, layered taste that feels instantly transportive. They are often subtle, complex, and unexpected enough to make each sip feel special.
Why are they trending right now?
People are looking for flavors that feel fresh, calming, and more connected to nature in their everyday moments. Floral flavors are often associated with relaxation, wellness, and a slower, more intentional way of savoring what you sip. At the same time, they spark curiosity and discovery, blending familiarity with an element of the unexpected.
We have been especially excited to see this trend continue to grow, even stepping into the spotlight on the Today Show, where flavors like Forest Pine, Rose, and Lavender were featured by People Magazine Food Editor, Sonal Dutt, as part of this rising wave of botanical inspiration.

What do floral flavors actually taste like?
Each one has its own personality.
Lavender is soft and calming, with a lightly sweet, herbal note that feels soothing and smooth.
Rose is gently fragrant and sweet, with a fresh, bright aroma that turns every drink into an elegant sip.
Forest Pine, our 2026 Flavor of the Year, is crisp and refreshing with a bright, outdoorsy feel that is totally unexpected in the best way. It is blended with the warmth of wild ginger and the earthy freshness of sage, making it vibrant, layered, and just intriguing enough to keep you coming back for another sip.

What makes spring the perfect time for these flavors?
Spring is a season of fresh starts, and your drinks should reflect that!
After months of richer, heavier flavors, there is something refreshing about reaching for something lighter and more vibrant. Florals and botanicals capture that shift perfectly. They feel like sunshine, fresh air, and everything coming back to life. Floral flavors also pair beautifully with fruit flavors, creating bright, juicy combinations that feel even more refreshing and layered.
They bring a sense of brightness and renewal that just fits the season, making every sip feel a little more uplifting and new.
What are some easy ways to use floral and botanical flavors in recipes?
