Cheers to 100 Years: Introducing Torani's Flavor of the Century

Since its founding in 1925, Torani has had the privilege of creating Flavor and Opportunity for All®. We started in the North Beach neighborhood of San Francisco using original recipes brought over from Lucca, Italy by founders Rinaldo and Ezilda Torre. Ezilda led Torani through its production of liqueurs and cordials as the prohibition came to a close in the 30’s. As more people discovered Torani, our hallmark Vanilla Syrup played a key role in the creation of the first flavored latte in the 80’s, bringing flavor to cafes around the world.

Today, more consumers are experimenting with flavors at home, and Torani eagerly anticipates how it will continue to shape the future of flavor. As we embark on our centennial year, we reflect with gratitude on the people, partners, and communities that have made this journey possible. This year, we will proudly continue our Flavor of the Year program, which combines global trend insights and cutting-edge flavor innovation to bring the latest taste experiences to life.
In honor of our 100 years, we will donate 100% of the profits from every bottle to support organizations creating opportunity in underserved communities.
 
We are thrilled to unveil our 2025 Flavor of the Century, Diamond. Diamonds are a symbol of 100 years; they’re celebratory and timeless while symbolizing the love and commitment that Torani has to its partners. 

This flavor brings to life the complexity and beauty of this gemstone with the bright taste of freshly popped bubbly and beautiful notes of vanilla. Commemorating celebrations with sparkling wine is an age-old tradition centered around moments of connection, while vanilla is a timeless flavor integral to our story and that has stood the test of time.

Since diamonds have no flavor, we took this challenge as an opportunity to use our flavor expertise to bring the qualities of this gemstone to taste through our Gold Standard Process. Torani’s Gold Standard involves sourcing some of the best-tasting products around the world to identify key flavors to include in the Flavor of the Century’s final formula.

Over a year in the making, our team submitted over 200 ideas for our Flavor of the Century. After narrowing this initial list of contenders down, we developed and tested the perfect formula for this imaginative and celebratory flavor. Diamond serves as a 100-year anniversary gift to our partners, customers, and team members, embodying the treasure they are to us.
