Torani

Torani is committed to inspiring creativity and supporting children’s art in afterschool programs through our Art for Kids program and our partnership with the Afterschool Alliance. Since 2005, Torani has engaged kids in afterschool programs across the country in a contest to create art for Limited Edition labels on selected Torani Syrup flavors.

At a time when there is little room for creative expression in the regular class day, we are thrilled to support afterschool activities that nurture children’s passions and talents.

This year we are pleased to feature the beautiful artistic renderings of Julia, a 9 year-old student at the Young Rembrandts Afterschool Program in the Cleveland area, and Savannah, a 13 year-old in the Farmington Public Library’s Great After School Program in New Mexico. Julia is enamored of the giraffe and chose to feature her favorite animal in her artwork. Savannah picked the butterfly depicted on our label for its freedom to fly wherever it chooses.

Each year, Torani team members vote on the artwork of finalists selected from among hundreds of art submittals. Year after year we continue to be amazed and impressed by the results of our contest.

Torani donates 5% of all sales of these limited edition flavors to the Afterschool Alliance. The Washington, D.C. based non-profit is dedicated to raising awareness of the importance of afterschool programs and advocating for quality, affordable programs for all children. We at Torani are very proud to have contributed over $350,000 to the Afterschool Alliance over the past several years.

Afterschool Alliance is the national voice of afterschool and the leader in education, outreach and advocacy to bring afterschool to all children. Children and youth in quality afterschool programs demonstrate measurable gains in both academic performance and social behavior - and have greater expectations for their future.

The essence of our partnership is to strengthen communities through creative engagement and together with Afterschool Alliance we are helping to highlight afterschool arts programs and to bring them to communities everywhere.
